Don’t Stop Dreaming

Once again I find myself staring into the vast ocean of uncertainty, constantly in motion, constantly changing. I find it slightly humorous; the irony of it all. It’s a situation I have found myself in time and time again. It’s a situation in which I promised myself,  that  I would never be in again. Yet here I stand. My burning question is “why”? Why am I so defined by habit? What is it that keeps me trapped in the same cycle? I have tried to change, tried to learn, tried to be “more” and yet here I am.

I have tried and failed, I have got back up and carried on, I have worked hard and enjoyed my life….so why? Why am not fulfilled, what’s missing? The answer is simple…passion. Not passion for life, not passion for love, adventure or friendship. No its simpler than that, its passion for my work.  Passion for waking up every morning and going out into the world and adding value, adding something meaningful, building something measurable and reaching my full potential.

I am not certain what my full potential is, where it lies or how far it could take me. All I know is that it starts with an interest. As the interest manifests itself, it becomes a hobby, after that an obsession, and eventually a belief. A belief in the knowledge and skills I have acquired, nurtured and honed. A belief in my ability to go out and do. That’s the key ingredient, to go out and DO.

I have recently found an interest,  which has grown into an obsession. My thirst for knowledge is insatiable, I cannot and  will not stop learning. My new goal is to turn this new-found passion into a career. The aim of this blog is to document my journey; the steps I take, the mistakes I make, the experiences I have along the way, the obstacles and the triumphs. Life is an adventure, we don’t know what our potential really is until we push ourselves. As human beings, we are limited by our own negative thoughts and insecurities. Time and time again we see great men rise up and push the very limits of their imaginations, achieve great heights and accomplish amazing feats. Never in the history of the world have we had so much information at our finger tips, so many connections to the world around us.

 Now is as good a time as any to shoot for the stars, even other galaxies, possibly even parallel universes! If the imagination is limitless….. Don’t limit yourself… Don’t stop dreaming.
